Marriage, Civil Unions, and the State

Marriage, Civil Unions, and the State

By: Jeremy Tyler

As of the last 20 years or so, Marriage between Homosexual couples has been quite the controversy. There are people who argue that marriage is a tradition between a man and a woman and the state should not allow homosexuals to get married and break that tradition. There are people on the other side of the argument who state that everyone has the same equal rights, so if the state allows heterosexual marriage then they must allow homosexual marriage as well. I disagree with both parties on this. I don't think the state should have any role in marriage whatsoever.

Many people argue that Marriage, through religion, has been passed down thousands of years as the same tradition between a man and a woman. They see gay marriage as a violation of marriage, and think that the state should protect their tradition and not allow gays to marry one another. They state that it de-evaluates marriage.

On the opposite side of the argument comes from people who agree with gay marriage. They state that since Government gives heterosexuals the right to marriage then homosexuals should have the same right as well. They think the state should allow homosexuals to marry and then protect their marriage as well. They say that marriage is about consent between two individuals to have a union of two people, and as long as there is consent, then they should be allowed.

I disagree with both parties on this issue. I don't think the state has any role in Marriage. First we must look at where marriage licenses originated from in the United States. It originated in the 1930's in the southern states. It become law that if a black man wanted to marry a white woman, he had to get a license from a court before hand. The idea of marriage license soon spread from southern states to all of the U.S. As you can see marriage license didn't come from upholding a religious tradition of morals, but instead originated from a racial discrimination view.

Now the idea of getting a license to get married a common thing for people, and the idea of getting married without a license from the state is considered taboo. Though from 160 years since the country was created, you needed not a license from the state to get married. So my idea is kind of a throwback to what our Nation believed for 160 years and what religion believed for thousands of year. The idea that Marriage is a religious order, not a state order.

For those that say Marriage is a tradition in marriage that has been going on for thousands of years, I agree with you. For those that say if the government allows some people to have a union, then they must let all, and that all that matters is consent between two adults, I agree with you. I take both points of opposite perspectives to be right. Marriage is a religious order, and has been for thousands of years. Therefore the state has no power in deciding who get married, it was a religious order, and should stay it. The government also should not interfere in anything between two consenting adults. If the government did, it would take away one's liberty and would overstep the boundary of government power.

The only thing government should be involved in is Civil Unions. Civil unions is the recognition of two consenting adults stating that they want to be a union. Afterwards the government should give them a tax break, or whatever it is that is allowed for people who are in civil unions. The government also should not be allowed to deny civil unions nor regulate them, for it would infringe on our natural right of liberty, which the government is there to protect, not to take away.

So in conclusion, marriage is traditionally a religious order and should stay one. If the church of this religious order says only they will allow marriage between a man and a woman, then that is their right. If homosexuals would like to get married then they can set up some kind of ceremony for this themselves, or set up establishment to do this and call it gay marriage if they would like. Either way the state should not be involved in anything beyond recognition of civil unions. When people get married it should be "We now pronounce you Husband and Wife, or Husband and Husband, or Wife and Wife." But the thing that should never be said is "We now pronounce you, Husband and Wife and State."

Asimov's three laws; Individual Rights > Collective Thoughts

By: Jeremy Tyler

In 1941 a man by the name of Isaac Asimov wrote a book called "Runaround" which introduced 3 moral laws he thought should be the base of moral code for all Androids. The laws were made to be foolproof, but that has shown to be hypothetically false. Some argue the moral code isn't correct due to the fact it focus's on the individual, and not the whole group, while others argue it's flaw is that it's not detailed enough and can result in individuals rights being taken away. I'm going to attempt to argue the latter, stating that the collective thought is wrong, and that the laws can be shown to be morally correct, just not detailed enough.

Asimov's three laws are these. First law is "A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm." Second law is "A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law." Third law is "A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law." I would agree with all of these but add on to the first law. Though I would believe that both Utilitarian’s and Kantians would disagree with first for sure and possibly all the laws.

Utilitarian’s would argue that would be invalid for sometimes it might be necessary to hut a human being or allow a human to be hurt, or have other rights taken away, in order to obtain utmost happiness as a whole in a society, which is the greatest moral principle. They would also disagree with the second law in that an order might not benefit society as a whole, so should therefore not be followed, also since they disagree with the first law it would make the second part of the second law void. The third law could easily be argued by a utilitarian to be wrong for the same reason as the last two; it might benefit society's happiness if it destroyed itself, besides the fact that the first two laws are already thought of being void.

Kantians state in their first formula of Categorical Imperative "Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law." This law states that one should not make an act that would contradicts one's rational beliefs, and that if one believes this, that it should be applied to everyone in the same treatment, not just specific people for that would be contradictory. Kantians would argue the first law may be not permissible if one person came to conclusion that one's life or body is virtually meaningless, therefore a justification that all people's life is meaningless. Another argument Kantians would make against it is that if it is universally accepted that murder is morally acceptable and doesn't contradict life having any kind of special rights, because either they never came to conclusion that it did, or came to conclusion that it just didn't have enough rationality behind it to have rights of any kind, then individuals do not matter as long as it universally accepted.

My only argument against the three laws is that the first is law is incomplete. The first law should have all natural rights included, being life, liberty, and property being protected. As well as no pre-emptive acts done to protect the human’s rights of life, liberty, and property. Adding on property and liberty, for the fact that they are also natural rights that should be protected. Then adding on the pre-emptive part, to make sure that Androids don't take away any of our natural rights by trying to protect them. This would fix the contradiction in the first law of not taking away natural rights, but at the same time making sure you protect natural rights. Therefore androids could possibly come to the conclusion that in the future we, as humans, will attempt to take away everyone else's natural rights, and the only way to protect out natural rights is for them to keep us constrained. This would be a pre-emptive action of protection, which would in essence take away someone's natural rights without first being justified.

I state my claims of natural rights from the idea of self-ownership that Thomas Hobbes first discussed, and John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, and Ayn Rand elaborated on extensively. The idea that all humans have natural rights based on self-ownership. Which is that because it can't be rationally argued against that one owns one self, that one then owns one's own life. Therefore no one has a right to take away that life. Liberty based on that because one owns oneself that one has all rights to oneself and can act free-willingly as long as it doesn’t take anyone else's rights away. The last part of natural rights is property. Based on self-ownership in that if one puts labor and one's time into a material then that makes that material one's property, unless that material has already had labor and time put into by another, then can only be property of the latter by social contract of transferring property. The only way one can take away someone else natural rights justifiably is in self-defense of one's own natural rights.

My argument against Utilitarian’s argument of morality being happiness for the greatest number is that it negates Individual natural rights. One could say it would be best for society to murder one innocent person to make sure 30 innocent people live, because that would make the most people happy. Utilitarian’s could argue that putting 10 people into slavery to make 100 people feel more secure would be morally correct in that it would raise the happiness of the greater percentage of the population. It's a simple tyranny by majority. None of the arguments justifies taking away an innocent individual's natural rights.

Kant's argument of perfect duty, no contradictions of old universally accepted thought, also has its flaws. For example, if it was universally accept that life had no meaning of self-ownership, therefore life's meaning could be void beyond the definition of life. Therefore that would justify murder. Because one came to conclusion that meaning of life is void, then one can murder someone without contradictory. Kant said stealing is immoral no matter what. Because stealing would be based on property, which is an already existing universal law, therefore it would contradict that law, becoming void. But if no one ever came to the conclusion of property rights then it would be justified to steal, just no one might realize what stealing is yet. This brings up my argument against it.

The first and second example violates life and property rights. But because no one realized they were being violated because they do not realize their rights, then that justifies it? This is a sort of subjectivism that if you don't realize something is there then therefore it is not there, and can't be proven otherwise. This argument goes against Kant's beliefs on objectivism and forms of absolutes. Kant’s ideas contradict one another. So because they don't realize their natural rights, doesn't justify taking them away, for the rights still reside as an absolute, and cannot be justifiably violated because of ignorance of them.

In conclusion, the android moral system should be based on natural rights of a human and protecting them without any preemptiveness. It should be based on Individual natural rights. Not based on what’s best for the group as far as pleasure from happiness is the greatest, nor a contradictory subjective absolute based on a group accepted law. Group thought doesn't justify a law, or create a true moral code that is fair, only reason and rationality leading to realization of our natural rights as an absolute that can't be taken away is justification of a moral code.

"I'd rather be exposed to the inconveniences of too much liberty than those attending too small degree of it" - Thomas Jefferson

Affirmative Action Vs. Individual Liberty
By: Jeremy Tyler

Affirmative Action plays a huge role in the world and especially in the United States of America. Affirmative action historically has been the thought that the government should set regulations to promote education and employment for non-dominant groups (usually minorities or women). There has been much support for Affirmative actions in the United States, but there has also been much resistance to it on various viewpoints. In this Essay I will show why I support Individual rights and property rights over affirmative action and collectivism.
Affirmative action as far as law goes started with John F. Kennedy's speech in 1961 about the civil rights issue. This was all started during the Civil Rights movement of the 60's and early 70's. The idea of affirmative action is to, through the state, to force businesses and schools to accept a certain amount of the non-dominant groups as employee's or students. This is thought to create equality. A lot of people would say affirmative actions gave blacks and other minorities (including women) a chance. It is true that those groups have gone up in percentage involving better employment and better jobs.
While that is true, it is also true that white men have declined in percentage of them having jobs and getting higher education. Some would say this was fair for the fact that the other groups received discrimination before, so it's only fair that it is made sure that those groups have a chance and the dominant group does not. But I ask you, is this not a form of discrimination? Groups discriminating against another group.
Affirmative Action forces businesses to hire a certain amount of certain groups of people, and school the accept admissions of them as well. While these groups have been discriminated against before does that give them just action to discriminate against the once dominant group? One might state that it is not discriminatory, but just gives these once dominated groups a fair chance. I ask you this though, if a black woman was better qualified for a job, but could not get it because she is a black woman, but instead they hire a white man because the state forces them to. Is that not discrimination? It is one group, through force of the state, dominating another group. So using that situation vise-versa, would it not still be discriminatory no matter how you look at it? It's this mentality of group vs. group that causes division and rifts in rights among people.
Another point I want to bring up is that of property rights. Barry Goldwater ran as republican presidential candidate in 1964, with one of his issues being that he was against affirmative action. Not because he wanted to be discriminatory, because he was very socially liberal. But because he believes in equal rights, and that no one has the right to take one's property rights away. He viewed businesses as one own personal property, and that it would immoral to use force of government to tell that person what to do with that property as long as it was not violating someone else's natural rights. He viewed affirmative action as taking away property rights.
The core of all these problems is our way of thinking of people as groups. Racism and sexism is a form of collectivism where we view people as groups, and derive those rights from those groups instead of deriving rights as individuals. To quote Ron Paul "Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather then individuals. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism. Their obsession with racial group identity is inherently racist. We should understand that racism will continue to endure until we stop thinking in terms of groups, and start thinking in terms of individual liberty." If we start thinking in terms of individuals with all equal natural rights, then things like racism and sexism would disappear. No one's rights would be violated due to the thought of collectivism.
In short if you want to stop discrimination, a good way of doing it would be follow Martin Luther King Jr. example of threatening to boycott a business if they don't give equal treatment to all individuals who apply, it doesn't use force nor does it affect anyone's individual natural rights. Since everyone has equal rights, no persons equal rights should be taken away for compensate for another’s being taken away. This mindset of collectivism, focusing on groups, is wrong and further propels racism. If we focus on individuals and their own liberty, then that is the only way to stop this mentality of discrimination.

"The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people." - Ron Paul

well my night ended up being interesting to say the least. Went and got a "outrageous parfait" up at steak and shake that when I got it the ice-cream was basically melted. It was me and Josh, then Deabers showed up. Had our shakes, talked..then Josh said there was this party that his friend Lauren was having. I've met her before on campus. So we decide to go there. Was so odd when I first walked in cause most people there was deaf (Josh is partially deaf, and it was Deaf girls party). So no one was actually saying anything..and since I only know a little sign language it was odd. Then saw Berkley. Was excited till she acted very stand-offish..and kinda mean...I don't know what that was about, especially since I was excited to see her. So I ended up becoming more dissapointed as the party went on. It really makes me lose hope in people that I liked..or had emotions of some kind for. You know really question if it worth it being a romantic. But I stayed optimistic and I ended up having fun by learning how to say "I'm like a grandpa and pee all the time.", and "Luke I'm your father, search your feelings, you know it's true." in sign language. Hehe I came up with that one and kept telling people it :)

- Ice cream melted.
- Someone I was excited to see acting very indifferent toward me.
- Thinking I'm a fool for being a romantic

+ learning some cool sign language that I won't ever be able to use
+ Meeting new people and hanging out with my good friends.
+ After the night, I gain that hope back about being a romantic.

"All Tyranny needs to get a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."
-Thomas Jefferson

You are the Sun You are the star!! to me forever!!

Heh woke up late today. At like 2:30 so had to hurry up and shower and go to work. So didn't get to work out. Planned on working out when I got home but then Josh invited me and deabers to go over to his apt. after work. So we went over there and watched Pan's Labyrinth and ate pizza and strawberry cheesecake. Kind of did the opposite of working out.. Good movie but sad. Then went to play gears...but deabers forgot it at home. But I need to play to prove my manliness after getting all sad after the movie. Haha..so Deabers went and bought new game at wal-mart. Came back, played till 4 bad here I am not listening to Beat Crusaders. 5 in the morning. Don't know whats going on with Berkley. Don't usually talk about that stuff on here..but since it is my journal suppose I should. She just kinda stopped talking to me for some strange reason. I didn't want a relationship, but I did want to end up being good friends with her and be romantic with her. But oh well thats all I'm gonna say about that. I still like to keep private about such things. I decided I want to get my family and friends all presents soon. Spend some money out of each paycheck for a few of them each time. It will make me happy. But yeah oh well. Goodnight people. And just remember you ain't lonely! Anyways went shopping for food. Got food, packed...slept for a long time too. went over to Stephen and Amandah's apt. Stayed the night there. Woke up early and went to airport. Got to our hotel in Chicago at like 8 in the morning. Turns out our hotel was like 3/4 a mile from the convention which sucked but oh well. Well went to sleep till 2 since nothing was going on at 8 in the morning. First day looked all around the dealers room and such. Got a fake mustache and wore it. Will have pics of that later. Actually don't remember what I did during the day on Friday. Went to hairy carry's, which was really good food. Oh yeah then at night went to speed dating. which was silly and didn't really find any girls I was interested in. One girl even started talking to me about her ex that just broke up with her and started showing me her text messages and then asked for my number so she could call me later.....crazy. Watched the mask and ace venture 2 that night with friends. Was fun. Saturday was fun. Signed up for duck hunt tournament. went to dealers room and bought gifts for people..and two shirts for myself. Met up with ben from sugoi-con. Tried to meet up with whitney, shann, and Kat but we couldn't find eachother. Went to masquerade. Was pretty funny but liked last years more. Then went and watched spoony bards till dance. Once dance started and breakdance and poppin circle started up seemed to forget all about the women and enjoyed break dancing with all the other people. Was awesome fun. Did it for like 4 hours straight. Came out after being extremely fatigued and sang moon on the water....which was really awesome, love spoony bards. Went back and went to sleep. woke up early, went to airport, slept there and on the plane. Came here. Dropped stephen and amandah off. Bought my mom dinner for mothers day and then took a nap...cause my back hurts so bad from last night. Can barely move. But yeah there is the update. Happy Mother's day everyone!

heh most of you prob won't read this but oh's well!

Well a lot has been going on in life lately...but then again...life has always been that way :).

Finished this semester on April 29th by finishing my last french final. So my grades ended up being 3 A's, 1 B+ and 2 C's. I'll do better next semester though. Had an awesome semester though! Ballroom dancing and hip hop aerobics being my silly classes and my interesting being Pols science international relations and Macro economics.

But on to my current life. Thurs night went out and saw Spiderman 3 at the midnight showing. Liked it but was disappointed. Had this awesome Silver surfer there...oh and deabers got lost on the way there...stupid person trying to insist on going I-71.

Friday went to work. Tried calling Berkley to see if she wanted to go to the Rud Kipling with me because my friend Lily invited me to go. But never got a call back from her :(. But yeah, got off work and drove up there. Saw Lily of course but ended up seeing jessica and these people that I met at her house. Venus Trap, Ultra Pulverize, and Lucky pineapple played. Did some pop n lock and breakdancing to U.P. and some Charleston and Swing to lucky pineapple. Wish I would had someone to dance with though. But it was lots of fun.

Saturday cleaned house for first half of day, then watched "Hook" and "LOTR: fellowship" then watched the Derby. After that Berkley called me and we talked for 3 hours or so. It was fun:D. Then got off cause our phones was dieing. Headed over to Deabers and played some Gears till 4 in the morning. Today woke up, cleaned, watched Children of men while cleaning, showered, headed up to the mall to meet up with Berkley. Hung out with her for a bit, but not for long. Then came back here and ate then went over to Britney's and taught her some dancing. Here I am now :P

Gonna try to update more often...but hehe we'll see. Next weekend going to Chicago to go to Anime-Central, be jealous!

To finish off this entry I'm gonna leave you with the quote I finished off my french composition on exam with

Charles Dubois dit "La chose importante est ceci : Pour pouvoir à n'importe quel moment sacrifier quelle nous sommes pour ce quelle nous pourrions devenir."
Charles Dubois said "The important thing is this: To be able to at any moment sacrifice what we are for what we could become."

Grinds my Gears

Well thinking about making posts about my thoughts, and what really grinds my gears ;D.

You know what really grinds my gears? About a month ago my uncle and I got into a talk about national Healthcare. He is for it, but I'm against it. The fact is I know a lot of people are for it. But the fact is those people are ignorant. I'm not trying to be offensive casue ignorant means lack of knowledge. And people who are for national Healthcare have lack of knowledge in Economics. So don't get mad cause I'm ignorant in say.... Biology.

To the point. The Majority of people are for National healthcare for many reasons. Reasons being that every developed country in the world besides 2 (the U.S. being one of the two) have national Healthcare, we are ranked 72nd in Health of citizens in the world, the number one cause of bankruptcy is medical bills, and the average person would rather government take care of it then themselves.

To respond to the first reason, though basically every first world country has National Healthcare, that doesn't mean it's the right path! France for example. Out of all Westernized democracies, France is the closest to socialism with he tax rate there being about 47%. The doctors there go the people houses whenever they are sick, instead of you going to them. And everyone gets this same treatment. Oh sounds nice right? Well that also why France is so far behind in medical technology, and has far fewer doctors, because they makes so much less then doctors here. America leads the world in medical technology, and having more people then any other country winning Nobel Prize in medicine. This is because health here is base d on free market, and more people wanting to pursue that field because of the money (of course interests in health goes into reasoning as well).

Yes we are ranked 72nd in health of citizens in the world. With infant mortality rate of 5 for every 100 born. Also main cause of us being ranked 72nd is obesity. But the fact is that if we get national healthcare that would fix obesity? Or infant mortality. No studies have shown it not to do so. Not to mention obesity has nothing to do with national healthcare. All that has to do with is media and the free choice of our citizens as what to eat. Only way that we could fix obesity through government interference is by forcing citizens as to what they have to eat...and that my friends would be socialism, which usually leads to people starving.

So medical bills most often cause the declaration of bankruptcy? Well I think we would all agree that it's a shame. And I really do wish that wasn't the case. But using national healthcare if a bad way of solving that problem. The solution should be health insurance, through your job. Whether you company will voluntarily make it available for you if you have make a union to get it.
Cause if you do that America will still continue with advances in medical technology and high numbers of people involved in the medical field. While if national healthcare would cause the sacrifice of both. And if the people don't want to take the initiative of getting health insurance by getting a good job, then that's their decision, and they should be held responsible for it.

The last reason is that many people just prefer the government to take care of it for them. My initial response to this is....."Stop being lazy!" But to have other reasons as to why this is a bad idea besides the fact that people are being lazy is that government will slow stuff down then if you were to just do it yourself. It cost more money to hire a government official to do your work for you, then if you were just to do it yourself. And say if you don't want to do your own work, and get health insurance by whatever means, so you want national healthcare. My response to that is "no, you don't get my money." If a person wants a job where health insurance is not available, but the job requires less work or education then that is their choice. But I will not be forced to pay for their health costs because they choose to live that way. I mean that's like saying you just got your paycheck after a full week of work. Me and bunch of others go up and tell you this bum, who chooses not to work, needs to medical health, so we all decided to take your paycheck and pay for the Bum. Can any of you really tell me that situation is right?

Basically people National healthcare while at first seems appealing from the outside, is in fact not so good when looking on the inside of it. Just let hard working people and the invisible hand of economics work it out. And that my friends is how the cookie really crumbles :)

so last night we picked u up amber and we (stephen, Amandah, Amber, and I) headed to ichiban samurai. Me and amber talked the whole way while stpehen and amandah just sang and did their little hand movements as usual. We got there...ate away as he cooked in front of us! it was good food. At the end we all got little drink containers. Amber and amandah got buddha, stephen got a samurai, and i recieved a Ninja! The meal cost alot of money but it was good! After we left We sang except for amber cause she didnt know words..but she said she wanted to learn..and we ahd to stop by gas station cause amanber has a pea shaped blatter. Then I hung uot at ambers..we had oreo milkshakes..and played video games, watched msot of eternal sunhine of spotless mind, played keyboard, and jsut had good convo's. Then I left at like 1:30.

This morning UofL called saying someone turned in my lost wallet..but at the shelbyville campus! for you that don't know it's a wing campus out in BFE. So eventually we drove out there to get it. And right by the cmapus..the clutch goes out in the car. We have to push it to a p[arking lot out in the rain... Then it starts sleeting. Fanlly my mom coems and picks us up and grab my wallet. then came back. I jsut got out of shower and here I am. hah I am stil happy despite the bad stuf that happened at the end here. Had a fun time with amber and hope to have more. Also prooven to me that there are plenty of good people in the world when i got my wallet back with nothing stolen. :D. Laters!

Well just attempted to get on WoW but is messing up so I decided to update. So everyone thanks WoW for me updating! So yeah, I started back at college Monday. Ugh I have 8 clock classes 4 days a week. This was only day I didn't have 8 clock class but still had one at 9;30. Lack of sleep is killing me! Anyways for the most part this semester should be smooth sailing. So Tuesday after my classes ended at 10:45 for that day I cam out of my economics class and yet was pouring rain..and I didn't have umbrella. So I got soaked all day till it stopped raining around 1 when I met up with Rachel and Jessica and her bf to end some sushi on campus. It was good food and fun times. I remained soaked. Went to apartment downtown till I left around 3:30

Yesterday President Bush was in our city downtown and caused me to miss the bus cause it went detour, so I just went and ate some beef lo mein till next one came hour later.

Then today got up..blah you know went to classes. Neff and me continued our little argument about Adam smith and john Nash involving their theories and rather Nash's theory was socialist or capitalist. Then met up with Josh up in the SAC and played some pool together. They both left around 12:30 so I had 1 and half till class..But didn't have really any money cause I lent it all to my parents...so only had enough to by drink and thing of PB M&M's. Would have gone to apartment, but didn't have enough time really. So finally went to class then it ended and came back. got strangely kinda down and sad. More and more anymore things just seem boring. I need something new in my life. I also would like a gf.... Though I am not going to jump into anything by any means. Just very hard to find someone I am interested in... I mean have plenty of friends that are girls..but very hard to find someone I am interested in. oh well thats life right?

Also sorry kids no good funny pics this time, can't have them all the time ;P. other news though.... ummm I have decided to actually write more of my inner thoughts and idea's in here. Like for instance..extremely interested in physics..but why is it that every time there is something physics people think of as impossible they say "but if you did it..would be time travel!" why is that because it's supposed to be impossible..so your answer is time travel? non-sense!

Slowly losing faith in the female gender. No I take that back..slowly losing faith in the people between 16 and 25..or hell maybe even older. Remember the days when we were younger..and things seemed so much better and we weren't wrapped up in sex. I mean everyone knew about it and giggled..but it wasn't what everything seemed to revolve around. Those were some good times.

I still kinda beleived that maybe people were still like that. And I am sure there still are. But i jsut thought more was. But it came clearly to me when I was eating today when i was eating chinese with these two girls named nicole and lacey. Both I thought were good peope..and really i still think theya re..but anyways. They jsut talked abotu sex sex sex. It jsut became mroe and more obvious how obsessed with it they are.and like I knew there was a good amount of people like this..but ti was jsut a shock beign around them adn them beign like that too. Which it didn't really bother me at first. thought mroe of it entertaining..but as they talked about how much fun it doing sexual acts with random people people I mentioned how i won't do sexual stuff with someone unles I am in a relationship with them. They looked down on me for it... and acted like there was somthnig wrong with me. While I find nothing wrong with people who do sexual stuf with random people.. i couldn't figure out why they looked down on me for me not doing it. It really slowly got to me them thinking I was wierd and lower then them for not.

Then they proceeded to talk about how they it would not cheat on people unless they knew the person they were chating on them with are good in bed. Then proceeded to talk about how they would then afterwards ater they broke it fof with the guy constantly toy with them.. acting like they would come back adn then they wouldn't. I just couldn't fatham it. fatham why they would do somthing like that. For sex hurt someone so very badly. of course I am not only including girls in this since I know that guys jsut have sex with girls and leave msot of the time..hurting the girls. And I thought for a while that this hrut girls very bad..but as time goes on..it seems it's kidna what the girls want to.

Sex is fun. I'm not denying that. Sex can be alos a relation of lvoe..and down to the niddy griddy able to produce life. I would say that the third being the msot important, the second being second..and the first beign 3rd. Yet it seems to be that the 3rd is what people are the msot obsessed over. hehe I probably sound like some religious zealot right now..adn it pisses me off..but really I'm mroe of jsut tryignt o get down to.......would life be better without sex?....I mean jsut....it really makes me sad..and it is constantly saddening me right now writeing...but that a person would really destroy someone else heart jsut to ahve a hour of fun with someone else sexually. I mean...is lvoe really not that important...is everything else..jsut not as good as that. If people would have to amke a lsit of the msot important stuff in the world.. would they really put sex at the top of the list?.. i used to not beelvie so...but it seems slowly everyone around me is slowly going toward that. is ther somthing really wrong with in the fact..that I won't do sexual stuff with someone untill I am relationship because I choose love and friendship first?...why did they look down on me.. why do so many people look down on me? because I'm different in that I choose somthign i feel more important then somthign everyone jsut does casually anymore? Am I really an ignorant person for being that way?

Well if it makes an ignorant person for not wanting to cheat on someone because I would rather choose love then lsut then so be it. I will never hrut someone that way ever. I've been through that pain..and I can't understand why anyone would anybody esle to be in that sort of pain. Rememebr wehn we were kids?...when we dreamed of being in some great career and helping people....remember those times...when we thoguth we would grown up to have love and kids.....am I really wrong for still wanting to help people.... Am I really Niave... I hope not.... If so...then I am proud.

p.s. as I said.. I don't look down on anyone that has casual sex of any kind. In ways I look up to you. Just am I wierd or stupid for not doing so? I was jsut making a point to not be obsessed over it and let it take over your life..cause... i would like to think...that maybe... there really is greater things in life....

I started feeling better when I got to hang out with her. Then went to mall and such. Then got stuck in traffic and she got aggravated then jsut went to my house where crazy little alex just took over. haha..watched some adult swim..it was nice having someone to be kinda cuddly with. heh anywyas she left close to one then I watched full emtal alchemist then I don't know but eventually went to sleep. great day with numba one and favorite if I do say so myself.

yeah so this morning woke up feeling sick again. went to my first class feeling sick. didn;t go to english cause stephen was at the aparetment waiting for me so yeha.
